ECM Reprogramming

Let Speartech reprogram your computer to take full advantage of your fuel injected engine. Doing your own programming? We offer Off Board Programming Harnesses for benchtop programming without the vehicle. We also offer factory reprogramming if you're starting with a new PCM or just need a spare.

Typical computer reprogramming for retrofitting engines includes:

Disabling the anti-theft (VATS).
Disabling EGR, A.I.R., evap system, post-cat oxygen sensors on OBD II systems and other emissions equipment for a clean looking installation. (Available for projects not requiring emissions)
Lowering the cooling fan turn on temperature. The factory setting is typically 226 F--very HOT! It may help pass an emissions test when new, but the engine is much happier operating at a lower temperature.
Gear ratio and tire size correction/performance tune.
